Dævvskævv's Episode Four to release on 8.8.2018

Exactly one year after the release of the electronically oriented and tape infused Episode #3, Dævvskævv are due to release the next part of their episodic series of albums and/or EPs (pick your favorite word). The fourth episode, simply named Episode Four, creates its own musical universe, fusing metal, pop, electronica and the avant-garde, spread across its total of eleven tracks.

In addition to playing around with various genre crossbreeds, Dævvskævv also play around with links to other projects that the Dævvskævv’s members are a part of, creating a link to the orchestral doom metal band Omit with the re-composition and partial remix of Omit’s recent track Medusa Truth, in the form of the track entitled Maya Lie.

Dævvskævv’s members are Cecilie Langlie and Tom Simonsen.

Dævvskævv's Episode #3 was just released worldwide!

The third release from Dævvskævv was just released. Head to your favorite download and/or streaming service to give it a listen.

This is the third episode in Dævvskævv’s episodic series of releases, wherein each episode creates its own, tiny musical universe. This is also Dævvskævv’s third release in the span of just one year.

Dævvskævv has been known to take pride in their motto of "no regard for genre or genre boundaries", and as such this episode certainly represents something different when compared to previous releases. As for genres contained in this one, the range is perhaps narrower, with Dævvskævv focusing on electronic and synth based music, much of it recorded to analog tape. One might sum it up as a meeting of electronica, dance music, the alternative and the avant-garde - with a few orchestral elements thrown in for good measure.

Dævvskævv is Cecilie Langlie and Tom Simonsen.

All tracks composed, arranged and produced by Tom Simonsen.

Musicians:
Cecilie Langlie: Vocals.
Tom Simonsen: Guitars, various synths, one particularly inexpensive keyboard, tape machines, digital drums and programming.
Mira Ursic: Violins.

Recorded, mixed and mastered by Tom Simonsen at the Secret Quarters studios. Released by Secret Quarters Records.

Released through:
