Vestige of Virtue to release debut album "Sophia" on October 1st

Secret Quarters Records are pleased to announce the latest addition to their roster, namely the gothic doom metal trio Vestige of Virtue.

Besides Secret Quarters' own Kjetil Ottersen, this project is manned by vocalist Frode Forsmo, known from acts including Old Man's Child, Tulus, Minas Tirith and Funeral, and drummer Shaun Winter Taylor-Steels, a name familiar to most My Dying Bride, Anathema and Solstice enthusiasts. Vestige of Virtue, then, is the company's first act to include permanent non-Secret Quarters members.

Vestige of Virtue originates back to the preliminary songwriting and recording initiated by Ottersen in 2009. A couple of years later, the production of debut album Sophia had reached completion whereas a number of reasons led to the release being procrastinated indefinitely. Hence, it is with great excitement that Sophia will finally be presented and made available to the audience.

Havnatt's Søvn I September releases September 1st

Havnatt's new single, entitled Søvn I September, was just set for its worldwide release on September 1st, and we had to share it with you right away. This single features the largest orchestral arrangement that the Norwegian duo has written and recorded this far, and the track also serves as a taste of what's in store for future releases. The amazing Robert Høyem - the guy who did the massive booklet for Havnatt's Etterlatte album - did the hand drawn artwork.

Havnatt would like to dedicate this single to Annika Becker, who is currently battling illness. Being a small, indie act, it is immensely important to Havnatt to receive good support from the Internet community. Annika has been a strong and friendly supporter, and we wish for a speedy recovery.
